Globally Concern Center for Climate Change (G4C) is proud to announce the successful continuation of its flagship Himalayan Cleanup and Awareness Campaign 2026. As part of its unwavering commitment to nature preservation, G4C mobilized volunteers, students, researchers, and community members across the Himalayan region to tackle the growing crisis of waste accumulation in one of the world’s most ecologically sensitive environments.
The Himalayan region faces an alarming waste crisis driven by increasing tourism, trekking expeditions, and changing consumption habits. The situation has reached a critical point plastic waste, abandoned expedition gear, and non-biodegradable materials now threaten fragile mountain ecosystems, rivers, and wildlife. G4C’s campaign directly responded to this urgent need by organizing large-scale cleanup drives across mountain trails, base camps, and riverside areas in the Himalayan belt.
